A child has died and another is still missing after three children were carried away by a flash flood in Makkah on Tuesday, Saudi Gazette reported, citing a Civil Defense statement on X.

Civil Defense teams who answered the call managed to save one of the three. Search teams are still working to locate the third child.

The authority repeated its call on citizens, residents and visitors to keep away from valleys and from low-lying spots where rainwater gathers during downpours.
