Minister of Municipalities and Housing Majed bin Abdullah Al-Hogail and Minister of Education Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan attended the launch of a framework for partnership with the non-profit sector under the regulations governing the disposal of municipal properties. The framework aims to maximise the social and development impact of education properties and enable non-profits to develop and run sustainable education and social projects.

The launch took place at the third Non-Profit Sector in Education and Training Forum 2026, organised by the Ministry of Education on October 20 and 21 at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University in Riyadh under the theme "Quality that maximises impact".

The framework seeks to widen non-profit participation in education and community services and to channel donors' contributions into sustainable projects that serve the Ministry of Education's goals and improve the learning environment. It reflects the housing ministry's approach of using real estate assets to serve the community.

The two ministers also saw the launch of the Ikram education platform, with the Ikram Foundation and the Technical Transformation Endowment, to train civil society associations and build their staff's skills. An agreement was also signed between the Sakan Developmental Housing Foundation and the Fai Foundation to support beneficiaries' housing stability.

The forum brings together government, private and non-profit representatives, with sessions, workshops and an exhibition focused on sharing experience, building partnerships and measuring the impact of initiatives in education and training.
