Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Emir of the Eastern Province, patronised the graduation of 1,390 students from the colleges and institutes of the Royal Commission in Jubail for 2026, at the King Abdullah Cultural Centre in Jubail Governorate. Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Energy and Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, attended, along with Eng. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Salem, President of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, officials and parents.

The Emir said that equipping national talent with specialised knowledge and skills is a key pillar for the industrial and technical sectors, and that the output of education and training institutions helps meet labour market needs and strengthens the competitiveness of the national economy. He congratulated the graduates and wished them success in serving their country.

In his speech, the Minister of Energy said that building industry rests on building knowledge and developing skills, adding that the industrial system works hand in hand with schools, colleges, hospitals, sports facilities and public services, making the Commission's cities a model that combines production with quality of life.

He said cumulative industrial investment in the Commission's cities reached about SAR 1.3 trillion by the end of the second quarter of 2026, but stressed that the greater value lies in the more than 33,000 graduates from these cities who have joined their factories and companies.

Dr. Anwar bin Saeed Al-Zahrani, Director General of Education at the Royal Commission in Jubail, said new academic and technical programmes had been introduced for female students, whose admissions rose by more than 30% this year compared with last year. This year also sees the first class of women graduate from Jubail Technical Institute.

At the end of the ceremony, the Emir honoured the top graduates with first-class honours, as well as the event's sponsors.
