His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, launched the "Hope Ribbon 2026" app at his office today. The app was developed by Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University to raise awareness of breast cancer and encourage early detection. University President Prof. Fahd bin Ahmed Al-Harbi attended the launch.

Prince Saud said health awareness initiatives by universities reflect the support and attention the leadership gives to education, and help embed a culture of early detection and the use of innovative digital solutions in healthcare.

Dr. Al-Harbi said the initiative is the first health awareness model of its kind in the Kingdom, using artificial intelligence, virtual reality and 360-degree technology in an interactive digital experience.

Users move through awareness stations, a virtual simulation of a mammogram and a virtual doctor who answers health questions, before being directed to the appropriate healthcare facility.

The university president thanked the Eastern Province Governor for his interest in health initiatives and his support for efforts to raise health awareness in the community.
