Shoppers in Jeddah can now visit the first edition of the International Gifts & Products Exhibition at the Jeddah Exhibition and Events Center, run by the Jeddah Chamber. Entry is free for everyone, and doors are open every day from 3 p.m. until midnight through October 31.
Hundreds of exhibitors and companies from countries around the world are selling their goods directly to the public. Organisers expect the fair to open up investment and trade opportunities for the region's expanding retail sector.
Pavilions are grouped by sector: gifts, antiques and rare handicrafts; fashion and textiles, with traditional and modern clothing and accessories from many cultures; household items and luxury carpets; perfumes and cosmetics; and corners dedicated to food, global spices and nuts.
The event aims to support local retailers, widen partnerships between Saudi and international firms, boost shopping tourism and reinforce Jeddah's standing as a hub for international exhibitions and conferences, while introducing visitors to the traditional crafts of the participating countries.
