Bahrain has issued a strong condemnation of the continuing attacks by the terrorist Houthi group on civilian, economic and vital facilities in Saudi Arabia, in which missiles and drones were launched towards Riyadh, Dhahran, Khamis Mushait and other areas. The Bahraini Foreign Ministry's statement described the attackers as the "Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militia".

Manama called the attacks a dangerous escalation and a flagrant breach of international law, international humanitarian law and the UN Charter, as well as a threat to civilian lives and to the region's security and stability.

The ministry restated Bahrain's full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its backing for every step the Kingdom takes to protect its sovereignty, security, stability, citizens and residents. It also upheld Saudi Arabia's inherent right to self-defence under Article 51 of the UN Charter, saying the Kingdom's security is inseparable from that of Bahrain and the Gulf Cooperation Council states.

Bahrain renewed its call on the Security Council to move decisively to stop the repeated attacks on civilians and civilian objects in the Kingdom, hold the perpetrators and their backers to account, and enforce its relevant resolutions, notably 2216 (2015), 2722 (2024) and 2817 (2026). Such steps, it said, would protect civilians, keep air and sea navigation safe, secure energy supplies and global trade, and preserve regional and international peace.
