Parties to investigations conducted by Saudi Arabia's Public Prosecution can now receive live interpretation in more than 77 languages, after Attorney General Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Yousef, who chairs the Public Prosecution Council, directed the launch of a multilingual digital interpretation service.
The service is designed to respond faster to interpretation needs, raise the efficiency and quality of investigation procedures, and ensure accurate communication and sound procedures.
It also supports the statutory safeguards on the use of interpreters, enabling those involved in proceedings to understand the measures taken in their regard and to communicate clearly and accurately throughout the investigation.
The launch is part of the Public Prosecution's wider efforts to develop its work and adopt modern digital solutions in order to strengthen procedural guarantees, improve operational efficiency, speed up procedures and raise the quality of its work.
