The General Directorate of Civil Defense has asked pilgrims and Hajj campaign operators to use electrical appliances safely in their accommodation in the holy sites, warning in particular against overloading circuits, which can cause dangerous short circuits or fires.

It stressed the importance of following the safety instructions published regularly through official media and social media.

The directorate also reminded the public to report any emergency or safety hazard without delay on the unified security number 911.
