The Saudi embassy in Islamabad has introduced same-day processing of visa applications for Pakistani citizens, Pakistan’s Press Information Department said on 30 October 2026, quoting the Saudi ambassador in release 485.

The announcement came during an energy-cooperation meeting with Pakistan’s petroleum minister. Processing an application does not guarantee same-day approval or visa issuance.

The release does not specify visa categories, fees, documents or exceptions. Its scope is the embassy in Islamabad, not a general procedure for every Saudi embassy or a change to residents’ iqama renewals in Saudi Arabia.
