The Director General of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority’s branch in the Madinah region, Dr. Ahmed bin Ali Al-Zahrani, inaugurated a new ambulance dispatch point on the Madinah–Hail highway, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported. The opening was attended by the head of Duthair Center, Khalid bin Naif bin Nahil, along with officials, supporters and participants.

The new point is part of the authority’s efforts to expand the reach of its ambulance services and raise field readiness in the Al-Hanakiyah sector, widening coverage and helping teams reach people in need quickly and efficiently.

According to the authority, the point will improve teams’ readiness to respond to accidents and medical emergencies along the highway and nearby sites, and reduce response times, particularly for traffic accidents, helping limit complications from injuries and improving the chances of saving lives.

Dr. Al-Zahrani said expanding the network of dispatch points continues the authority’s work to develop its ambulance system and deploy teams according to need, raising the efficiency and quality of services for citizens, residents and road users. He praised the supporters who helped build and equip the point, saying community partnerships strengthen ambulance services and contribute to the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 by improving quality of life.

The opening included a tour of the facility to review its equipment and operational readiness, and supporters and contributors were honoured for their role. For the many residents who drive this route, faster help after an accident can make a decisive difference.
