Yemeni nationals living in Saudi Arabia without legal status who are covered by the directives can now correct their situation online, after the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development launched the procedures on the Qiwa and Musaned platforms, working alongside the relevant government bodies.
The window opened today and will stay open for two months in every region of the Kingdom. It applies to two groups, workers whose residency permits have expired and workers reported absent from work, as long as they hold valid travel documents and the approved rules are followed.
Workers with expired residency can move to another employer that needs them entirely through digital channels: professional workers complete the transfer on Qiwa and support workers on Musaned, with both linked to the Absher platform, so no visit to a government office is required.
Workers with an absence report filed against them can also benefit. The report can be cancelled and their services moved to a new employer, again via Qiwa for professional workers and Musaned for support workers, on condition that their travel documents are valid.
According to the ministry, offering the services electronically reflects integration among government agencies in carrying out the directives. It is meant to simplify regularization, organize worker transfers under the applicable regulations, raise labor market efficiency and protect the rights of every party to the contractual relationship.
