His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, in the presence of his deputy, His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, reviewed the main results of the third Hasawi Lime Exhibition 2026 when he received Al-Ahsa Chamber chairman Mohammed Al-Afaliq and chamber staff at the governorate.

Al-Afaliq said the exhibition recorded sales of more than SR15 million and drew more than 450,000 visitors. It boosted hospitality, retail and services, with hotel occupancy reaching 85% during the event, helped localise more than 200 jobs, and saw the signing of two memoranda of understanding and four agreements supporting agriculture, entrepreneurial projects and processing industries.

He said the initiative began in 2023 and has raised the economic value of the Hasawi lime crop, with more than 80 innovative processed products developed. Al-Ahsa has about 205,000 lime trees, including 110,000 in the first and second Lemon City projects.

The governor said the growth of agriculture in Al-Ahsa reflects its economic strengths and its potential for agricultural products, processing industries and investment, and praised the chamber's work supporting local produce, farmers and entrepreneurs.

Al-Afaliq added that the chamber has begun preparing the next edition, with plans to widen partnerships and investment, strengthen the product's presence in local and Gulf markets, and link it with agritourism and rural experiences.
