Qassim Region Governor Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz sponsored, at his office, the signing of an agreement between the National Construction Academy and Shibh Al-Jazira Contracting Company to train, qualify and employ 500 Saudi nationals, according to SPA. Deputy Governor Prince Fahd bin Saad bin Faisal bin Saad attended.
The signing took place as the governor received the Director General of Technical and Vocational Training in the region, Eng. Ahmed Al-Hamoudi, and the Director of the Human Resources Development Fund branch in the region, Mohammed Al-Nahabi.
The agreement aims to prepare national talent in the construction and building sector, drawing on the academy's training programmes in line with the sector's needs, and to exchange expertise and take part in specialised conferences and seminars.
Prince Faisal stressed the importance of agreements that link training to labour-market needs and of partnership between training bodies and the private sector, saying that investing in national talent is a key pillar of the labour market and of Saudi Vision 2030 goals. He praised the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, the Human Resources Development Fund and the other participating bodies.
Moath Al-Hathloul signed for the National Construction Academy and Eng. Ahmed Sulaiman for Shibh Al-Jazira Contracting Company.
