The second season of the Madinah Stage competition, a public-speaking contest organised by Al-Birr Society in Madinah under the supervision of the Taibah Children's Society, has ended with 37 young talents taking part. The closing ceremony was attended by members of the society's board, people interested in talent and community initiatives, and media representatives.
Contestants competed in public speaking, stage presence and expressing themselves before an audience. The organisers said the contest aims to discover emerging talent, refine it, build the participants' self-confidence and give them a chance to show their creative abilities in a motivating, competitive setting.
Ahmed Abdulhamid took first place in the "Stage Knights" category and Amir Qasim in the "Stage Pioneers" category, while Layan Al-Ahmadi won first place in the "Stage Girls" category. Winners and participants were honoured for their performance throughout the competition.
The contest is one of a number of community initiatives that support children and young people, develop their speaking and communication skills and offer an encouraging environment for creativity and participation in cultural and community activities.
