South Korea's embassy in Riyadh has issued fresh safety guidance as missile and drone attacks on Saudi Arabia continue. It noted that Seoul's foreign ministry raised its travel alert for the whole country to level 3 (departure recommended) from Sunday, October 11, and asked anyone planning a non-essential trip to cancel or postpone it.

King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh is due to remain closed until 00:00 local time on Sunday, October 18, the embassy said, advising people to stay away from the airport and its surroundings unless they have an urgent reason.

The embassy also warned that Saudi authorities hold people legally responsible for photographing or filming missile and drone interceptions or impact sites and for posting or sharing such material online, and that foreigners have been detained over it. Residents and visitors should follow updates from the local authorities and the embassy, whose main line during working hours is +966-11-488-2211.
