Worshippers and visitors at the Grand Mosque can now check electronic guidance screens at the gates and outer courtyards to see which entrances are open and pick the nearest one, making entry smoother and helping crowds move.
The screens give live information on gate availability and on crowd levels in the Mataf and the Masaa, so worshippers, Umrah performers and visitors can choose the best route. They also guide people to entrances on the upper floors, easing congestion and cutting the time needed to get in.
The step is part of continuing efforts to use technology to manage crowds, run operations more efficiently and improve services at the Grand Mosque.
