Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has invited Qatar’s Amir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to take part in the second summit between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the European Union (EU), to be hosted by Saudi Arabia in October, in a written message addressed to him.
Prince Saad bin Mansour bin Saad, the Saudi Ambassador to Qatar, handed over the message when Sheikh Tamim received him at his office in Lusail Palace.
The ambassador passed on King Salman’s greetings to the Amir, together with his wishes for the Amir’s lasting health and happiness and for further progress and prosperity for the Qatari people.
Sheikh Tamim in turn asked the ambassador to convey his greetings to his brother, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, wishing him lasting health and well-being and wishing the Saudi people continued prosperity and progress.
The meeting also covered the fraternal ties between Saudi Arabia and Qatar and the means of developing and reinforcing them.
