Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon Fahd bin Abdulrahman Al-Dosari met Lebanese Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam today at the Grand Serail in central Beirut, opening the meeting by passing on the greetings of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The talks focused on strengthening cooperation between the two countries, foremost the Kingdom's support for Lebanon and its appreciation of the Lebanese government's work to preserve the state and its national institutions.
Salam, in turn, reaffirmed that Lebanon stands with the Kingdom and supports every step it takes to protect its territory and citizens.
The two sides also went over the next steps for activating the Saudi-Lebanese Joint Committee. Its activation was announced last month in New York, when Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah met Salam, with the aim of raising the level of cooperation and coordination between the two countries.
