Jeddah will host the sixth Hajj Conference and Exhibition from November 8 to 11 under the slogan "From Makkah to the World". With more than 15 zones and main programmes, the event gives Hajj affairs offices, service providers and other bodies a chance to finalise arrangements early for the 1448 AH Hajj season. It is organised by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah with the Pilgrim Experience Program.
The conference is built around three tracks: infrastructure and operations, covering transport and logistics, facilities, housing and catering; empowerment and integration, covering security and safety, health care, media and technology; and development and sustainability, covering the nonprofit sector, entrepreneurship, training and the pilgrim experience.
The Hajj Council expects more than 2,400 participants across 32 sessions with 42 speakers, plus specialised workshops, and an Awareness and Training Forum is being held for the first time. Innovation spaces include an entrepreneurship and innovation zone, a hackathon zone, a "Future of Hajj Innovation" camp and a technology oasis.
A business centre will host meetings, contract talks and agreement signings alongside a meeting of heads of Hajj affairs offices; previous editions saw more than 1,850 service agreements signed. Health, technology, aviation and media oases, a "Labbaitum" pavilion and a "Made in Saudi" area complete the exhibition.
The exhibition covers more than 67,000 square metres, with over 520 government, private and nonprofit entities from more than 150 countries. The "Mubdioon" and "Labbaitum" awards will recognise creative ideas and outstanding service to pilgrims. The ministry invited interested parties to register at hajjconfex.com/visitor-registration.
