Saudi Arabia's pavilion at the Baku International Book Fair 2026 was officially opened on Wednesday by the Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission. The fair is taking place in the Azerbaijani capital from October 21 to 25, 2026.
Commission CEO Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Alwasel said the Kingdom's presence in Baku reflects strong cultural ties with Azerbaijan and introduces Saudi intellectual and literary life to Azerbaijani and international visitors. The participation, he added, is meant to support Saudi writers and publishers and open new avenues for partnership and knowledge exchange in publishing.
Led by the commission, the pavilion brings together the King Fahd National Library, the King Abdulaziz Public Library, the King Abdulaziz Complex for Endowment Libraries, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, the King Fahd Glorious Qur'an Printing Complex, the Saudi Cultural Attaché in Türkiye and the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Global Center for Arabic Calligraphy (Dar Al-Qalam).
A side programme of panel discussions and poetry evenings with Saudi writers and intellectuals will look at literature, publishing and translation and at Saudi cultural achievements, as part of the commission's drive to raise the Kingdom's cultural profile at major international events.
