Saudi Arabia takes part as guest of honor in the 2026 Algiers International Book Fair, which runs from 28 October to 7 November at the Palais des Expositions in Pins Maritimes, in a cultural presence intended to deepen exchange between the two countries.

The choice reflects the close fraternal ties between Saudi Arabia and Algeria and comes as the Kingdom's cultural sector develops rapidly with the backing of its leadership, raising the global profile of Saudi culture and its heritage.

The Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission is leading the Saudi participation with a program of seminars, panel discussions and poetry evenings featuring intellectuals, writers and specialists, along with events on the Saudi literary scene and the Kingdom's creative activity across cultural fields.

Visitors to the Saudi pavilion will find corners devoted to handicrafts, Saudi traditional dress and musical instruments, an exhibition of manuscripts and archaeological replicas, Saudi performing arts shows and screenings of Saudi films. Several government bodies, authorities and cultural entities are also taking part.

The pavilion aims to offer a complete cultural experience that reflects the richness and diversity of Saudi identity and highlights cultural achievements under Saudi Vision 2030, which treats culture as part of quality of life and a means of connecting peoples.
