Falconers wishing to take part in the King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival 2026 can now register their birds, the National Center for Falcons has announced. The festival will be held at the center's headquarters in Malham, north of Riyadh, from November 17 to 30, and participants are urged to meet the deadline set for each stage.
Described as the world's largest gathering of falcons, the festival features the Al-Malwah and Al-Mazayen competitions and brings together Saudi and international falconers competing for prizes worth more than SAR 38 million, the biggest purse in falconry competitions worldwide, as well as the King Abdulaziz Cups and the "King's Shalfa" and "King's Sword" titles.
Online registration and falcon activation on the center's platform run from October 22 to November 2. New registrations for adult falcons, known as Qaranis, and ownership transfers are handled in person at the Malham headquarters from October 29 to 31, between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Registrations will be reviewed and any issues resolved online from November 3 to 5. International participants register in person from November 17 to 23, between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., and must verify their accounts on the center's platform.
For the Al-Mazayen beauty competition, registration is open in person and online throughout the festival from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., closing for each category one day before its round.
