The Rafha Cultural Salon devoted a recent session to the relationship between literature and medicine, looking at the presence of literary sensibility in the lives of doctors and the human and intellectual dimensions shared by medical practice and creative writing.

Participants examined where the two fields meet and how literature can deepen understanding of human experience and help express feelings. This, they noted, strengthens human connection and enriches a doctor's view of the patient as a person with a psychological and social experience, not only a medical condition.

The meeting reflects a wider interest in dialogue between disciplines and highlights the role of cultural salons in hosting intellectual and literary exchanges on issues where knowledge meets human life.
