The Northern Borders Chamber, in cooperation with Northern Border University, held a businesswomen's forum on Monday at its headquarters in Arar. Businesswomen and economic specialists took part in the event, which aims to increase women's participation in economic activity, support the growth and sustainability of women-led projects and present investment opportunities in the region.
Chamber board member Munifa Al-Anazi said women's economic empowerment is an investment in the region's future and prosperity. She pointed to the support Saudi women receive under Saudi Vision 2030 and to legislative and regulatory changes that have strengthened their presence in the public and private sectors and their role in economic decision-making.
The programme included a presentation on promising economic sectors in the region and panel discussions on opportunities for businesswomen, challenges and growth prospects, the role of innovation and digital transformation, and the stages of taking a project from launch to sustainability and expansion. Businesswomen also shared their own success stories, the challenges they faced and the lessons they learned.
