Viewers in the region will soon get their own version of “The 1% Club”. The Saudi Broadcasting Authority has secured the rights from BBC Studios and will air the first Arabic edition, titled “1% Challenge”, on SBC. Applications are open for contestants hoping to win a cash prize of up to SAR 250,000.
The format began in the United Kingdom and has since spread to 15 markets, among them the United States, Australia, France, Germany and Spain, with Italy and Sweden the latest to sign up.
Rather than testing general knowledge, the show rewards logic, careful observation, analysis and deduction. One hundred contestants work through questions that grow harder at each stage, ending with a final question that only 1% of a test sample got right. Viewers at home are invited to play along and compare their answers with those in the studio.
Applicants must be 18 or older. Registration closes on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, via https://form.typeform.com/to/L17R5OJk
