Stakeholders in Saudi Arabia can now comment on 47 projects concerning economic and development matters, drawn up by 26 government entities and posted on Istitlaa, the public consultation platform run by the Saudi Competitiveness and Business Center (SCBC), before the projects are approved.
One of them, submitted by the Saudi Red Sea Authority, sets out "Requirements and Conditions for Saudi Yachts". It turns the existing regulations into clear requirements and conditions to make procedures more efficient and improve the customer journey. Comments close on November 6, 2026.
The same deadline applies to a Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture proposal to update the executive regulations for protected areas, adding provisions so they can be enforced within royal reserves and other protected areas.
The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing has posted rules for developing planned land allocated to housing support programmes, under Article 13 of the Municipal Real Estate Disposal Regulations issued by Royal Order No. 40152 dated 29/06/1441 AH. They define ways to invest in municipal land in return for developing it or building housing units for developmental housing beneficiaries and others. That consultation runs until November 10, 2026.
Publishing draft laws and regulations on Istitlaa is intended to strengthen transparency in law-making and involve the public, government bodies and the private sector in shaping rules that affect the business environment.
