Inflation in Saudi Arabia held steady at an annual 1.9 percent in September 2026, with consumer prices showing no change from the previous month, Saudi Gazette reported, citing General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) figures published on Thursday.

The data also showed wholesale prices up 4.2 percent. The paper noted that the steady reading comes as tensions on sea lanes threaten global trade and energy supplies, risks that could drive up freight costs and disrupt supply chains.
