Saudi Finance Minister Mohammed Al-Jadaan will stay on as chair of the IMF's International Monetary and Financial Committee (IMFC) for an additional year, until January 2028, the International Monetary Fund has announced, according to Saudi Gazette. His initial three-year mandate had come to an end.
The minister agreed to continue after committee members asked him to stay. The IMFC is the fund's main advisory body at ministerial level: it sets strategic direction for the IMF's priorities and discusses major questions facing the global monetary and financial system.
