The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque has put in place a comprehensive mobility system inside the Grand Mosque to make it easier to perform the rituals, especially for elderly people and those with disabilities.

Specialized centers at strategic locations offer wheelchairs free of charge. More than 6,000 manual wheelchairs are spread across entrances and courtyards, along with 25 transport carts designed for people with severe mobility impairments.

Distribution and collection points have been carefully organized so worshippers can move freely and without interruption during peak hours.

The authority said improving accessibility is a key part of enriching the pilgrim experience and reflects the leadership's care for the two holy mosques and their visitors.
