The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development carried out more than 500,000 inspection visits to private-sector establishments from the start of 2026 to the end of the first half of the year, SPA reported. The visits resulted in more than 240,000 recorded violations and over 50,000 warnings to non-compliant establishments.

At the same time, inspections documented that more than 200,000 establishments were complying with labour market regulations and decisions, which the ministry said reflects a growing culture of compliance.

Saudization was closely monitored: inspectors recorded more than 80,000 violations related to non-compliance with decisions to localise professions and activities, and statutory action was taken against the establishments concerned.

The ministry relies on an integrated digital and field system. Automated systems continuously read and analyse establishment data and flag signs of non-compliance in real time, while field visits, both periodic and targeted ones based on reports and risk indicators, verify that the situation on the ground matches registered data. The smart inspection system launched during the first half of 2026 helped detect more than 60,000 violations.

For workers in the private sector, the ministry describes these inspections as part of its efforts to protect employees' rights and ensure a healthy and stable work environment, in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
