Saudi Arabia has condemned and denounced the events in Niamey, capital of the Republic of Niger, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

The ministry affirmed the Kingdom's solidarity with the government and people of brotherly Niger against any attempt to undermine the country's security and stability.

It said the Kingdom supports every effort to safeguard Niger's security and sovereignty and protect its resources from the actions of rebel groups, and wished Niger and its people lasting security and prosperity.
