Deaf women can now join a dedicated Quran study circle at the Grand Mosque in Makkah, set up by the Presidency of Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque as part of its specialised education programmes to make learning the Holy Quran easier and its religious services more inclusive.

The circle offers a learning environment adapted to women with hearing impairments, with teaching and communication methods that help them learn the Holy Quran, understand its meanings and build their skills, and gives them an equal chance to take part in the religious and educational programmes offered to women visiting the Grand Mosque.

The initiative is part of the presidency's work to develop Quran teaching at the Grand Mosque and to open its study circles to all groups, taking into account their learning needs and the most suitable ways of communicating with them.
