Qassim Region Municipality has launched and activated its support and emergency centres as part of preparations for the rain and flood season. Mayor Eng. Mohammed bin Mubarak Al-Mujalli inspected the centres and the machinery, vehicles and equipment assigned to rapid intervention and rainwater drainage.

Municipality spokesman Naif bin Abdrabbuh Al-Nufaie said the centres are part of proactive plans to raise field readiness and respond more efficiently to rain events and emergency reports, by deploying staff and technical resources and directing teams and machinery where needed.

He added that the municipality continues to check the readiness of equipment and specialist teams so that pooled rainwater can be dealt with quickly, flood damage limited, public safety protected and traffic kept moving.
