Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Rassi, Deputy Minister for International Multilateral Affairs and General Supervisor of the Economic and Development Affairs Deputyship, represented the Kingdom at a deputy foreign ministers' meeting on Somalia with Qatar, Türkiye, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Held in New York during the High-level Week of the 81st UN General Assembly, the meeting reviewed recent developments in Somalia and ways to support its security, stability, territorial integrity and sovereignty.

Participants stressed the importance of backing the Somali government as it deals with security, economic and humanitarian challenges.
