Saudi Minister of Education Yousef Al-Benyan on Wednesday opened the third Nonprofit Sector Forum in Education and Training 2026, held by the ministry at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University in Riyadh under the theme "Maximising the Quality of Education and Training". Officials, experts and representatives of government, private and nonprofit bodies are taking part.
Al-Benyan told participants that improving education is a shared national duty that depends on partnership and joint work across sectors. Giving nonprofits a bigger and stronger role, he said, raises the quality and impact of educational outcomes, in line with Saudi Vision 2030 and the Human Capability Development Program.
He said the issuing of the General Education Law has widened the scope for nonprofits to deliver educational services, set up and operate educational institutions and invest in educational facilities.
The minister attended several launches and initiatives and the signing of agreements and memoranda of understanding between government bodies, companies and nonprofit organisations, aimed at developing education and training and making educational projects more sustainable.
The forum features academic and panel sessions, specialised workshops and an exhibition where participating organisations present their services and experience and look for partners.
