The Makkah Region branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, through its Lands and Geospatial Information Department, has handed over a site in Khulais Governorate to the Saudi Water Authority. The plot, with a total area of 2,500 square meters, will host a compact water purification plant intended to strengthen water services in the governorate and improve efficiency for beneficiaries.
The handover took place in the presence of representatives of the relevant authorities, who completed the receipt procedures and signed joint records in line with approved rules, clearing the way for the remaining requirements before the project is carried out.
The branch said the step is part of its efforts to help government bodies make use of land allocated for service and development projects, speed up their implementation and improve basic services and quality of life across the region's governorates.
