The number of active commercial registrations for running tourist accommodation facilities in Saudi Arabia grew 29% year-on-year by the end of the third quarter of 2026, Saudi Gazette reported, citing the Ministry of Commerce.

The total reached 20,560, up by 4,595 from 15,965 a year before.

The ministry also named the five regions with the most active registrations in the sector. Makkah came first with 8,075.
