Registration is now open for the seventh edition of the school football league for the new season, the league's organising committee announced, with entries accepted from October 18 to November 12, 2026, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
The league runs under the supervision of the Ministry of Sport in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, and is organised by the Saudi Arabian Football Federation and the Saudi School Sports Federation. It aims to widen the base of football players, discover national talent at an early age and instil teamwork, discipline and sportsmanship in a safe, well-organised competitive environment.
The new season will bring together 20,000 school teams playing 120,000 matches in 47 cities and governorates across the Kingdom over about six months, with each team playing 12 matches. Boys and girls compete in four age groups: under-9, under-12, under-13 and under-15.
The competition has four stages: an internal tournament within schools; a general tournament at city and governorate level starting on December 6, 2026; a regional tournament for the under-15 category in May 2027; and the Kingdom Elite Championship in June 2027 for the teams that reach the final stage.
Schools and their teams register through the league's website via teachers and school officials. The committee urged schools to complete registration before it closes on November 12, 2026.
