The Saudi national football team posted standout numbers at the Arabian Gulf Cup "Khaleeji 27", which concluded in Jeddah in front of more than 62 thousand fans, lifting the title for the fourth time in its history, SPA reported.
The Green Falcons won every match of the tournament and kept a clean sheet throughout, without conceding a single goal, confirming their place as the tournament's strongest defense, while their players scored 9 goals in five matches.
The team also finished without a single red card, and one of its players was named man of the match in every game it played.
The team claimed the main individual awards: goalkeeper Mohammed Al-Owais was named best goalkeeper after keeping clean sheets in all matches, Hammam Al-Hammami received the Prince Khalid bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz Award for the tournament's best player, and striker Firas Al-Buraikan was the top scorer with three goals.
SPA said the achievement reflects the high technical level the team showed throughout the competition, adding a new Gulf title to its record.
