His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Fahd bin Muqrin bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Hail Region, today patronised the closing ceremony of the "Hail Innovates" hackathon at the Hail Chamber. The event, organised by the Entrepreneurship Vision Association, was attended by His Royal Highness Prince Fahad bin Mansour bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz, the association's chairman, and officials from government and private bodies in the region.
The deputy governor toured the accompanying exhibition before the ceremony opened with the royal anthem and a welcome address by participating students. A video presentation reviewed the hackathon's stages and training programmes, and the teams presented their projects and entrepreneurial ideas.
In his speech, Prince Fahad bin Mansour said the hackathon builds on the association's work to develop innovation and entrepreneurship skills among young people and help students turn ideas into practical solutions for their communities, in line with Saudi Vision 2030. He said the value of such initiatives goes beyond competition to building confidence, initiative and responsibility, and thanked the programme's partners and supporters.
The deputy governor witnessed the signing of an agreement between the Hail Chamber and Entro Gate to support innovators' projects and entrepreneurship in the region.
At the close, the deputy governor and Prince Fahad bin Mansour honoured the winning teams and participating students. He granted SAR 10,000 to each of the top five teams, on top of cash prizes funded by the Hail Chamber, and sponsors and partners were also recognised.
