Egypt's National Defence Council, chaired by President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, agreed on Sunday to extend all necessary and possible support to Saudi Arabia as the terrorist Houthi group presses its attacks on the Kingdom, Independent Persian reported, citing Al Arabiya.
The council reviewed the latest developments in the region and what it described as a critical and serious situation, particularly as attacks targeting Saudi Arabia have escalated.
In a statement, the official spokesman for the Egyptian presidency said Egypt had decided to declare its full solidarity with the Kingdom, citing the historic ties between the two countries.
