Pupils at public schools throughout Saudi Arabia will have their first additional day off of this academic year next Sunday, October 25, Saudi Gazette reported. Education departments around the Kingdom approved the break, which does not appear in the Ministry of Education's official academic calendar.

The current school year features six extended holidays. The departments have also set four additional days off: Sunday, October 25 and Sunday, November 29, 2026, followed by Thursday, January 7 and Sunday, April 11, 2027.
