The King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language has launched a Historical Tracking tool on Falak, its platform for language corpora, coinciding with the Year of Artificial Intelligence. The tool monitors how the use of Arabic words and expressions has changed over time, supporting research into how the language has evolved in use.

Users can trace where words and expressions appear across different periods, compare changes in the use of several words or phrases, choose the time range they want to study and explore patterns in how common words and structures have become.

The tool is aimed at researchers, students and anyone interested in Arabic and language data, helping them study the paths of Arabic words and expressions in the historical corpus.

It is available on the Falak platform at https://falak.ksaa.gov.sa/ngram-viewer
