The National Center for Responsibility and Studies, together with the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), has launched the “Thakaa for Financial Awareness” hackathon, sponsored by the Saudi National Bank, to mark the Year of Artificial Intelligence 2026, Al Riyadh newspaper reported.

Billed as the first national platform dedicated to combining artificial intelligence, financial technology and financial literacy, the hackathon aims to turn innovative ideas into practical digital solutions with lasting social and economic impact.

It seeks to empower national talent, spur innovation and build future skills through a competitive environment blending creativity, technology and entrepreneurship, with participants developing smart solutions to key financial-awareness challenges.
