Students across Saudi Arabia have until November 22 to sign up for the Bebras Mawhiba 2026 informatics competition. The King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), which opened registration on October 6, has renewed its call for boys and girls to take part.

Run by Mawhiba with the Ministry of Education, the contest is open to general education students from Grade 3 of elementary school to the final year of secondary school. It takes place remotely as an online test in Arabic and English, taken on a desktop or laptop computer.

Bebras is an international informatics and computational thinking competition with more than 4 million students from over 78 countries. The Saudi edition aims to build students' logical reasoning, analysis and problem-solving by breaking down complex problems and introducing algorithms, patterns and abstraction.

To help students prepare, Mawhiba offers the Bebras Library, an interactive online collection of short, engaging puzzles known as Bebras tasks that require no specialist background, along with past competition questions and learning resources.

Details of the competition and how to register are available on the Mawhiba app and at mawhiba.sa.
