Saudi Arabia and the Swiss Confederation discussed ways to deepen their economic and investment cooperation on Tuesday evening at the 15th session of the Saudi-Swiss Joint Committee, held by video link.
The meeting was co-chaired by Eng. Abdulmajeed Albadrani, Deputy Minister for International Investment Relations at the Ministry of Investment, and Ambassador Andrea Rauber Sax, who heads bilateral economic relations at Switzerland's State Secretariat for Economic Affairs. Also taking part were Dr. Bandar Al-Knawy, Executive Director General of Health Affairs at the Ministry of National Guard; Abdulrahman Al-Dawood, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Ambassador to Switzerland; and officials and private-sector representatives from both countries.
Participants reviewed openings for investment in several priority sectors: healthcare and biotechnology, infrastructure, financial services and insurance, and mining.
The two delegations also looked at how to build partnerships between their private sectors and step up the exchange of expertise, with a view to widening economic and investment ties and creating new prospects for bilateral cooperation.
