Residents of Jazan region have been warned to expect moderate to heavy rainfall today, according to an alert issued by the National Center for Meteorology.

The center said the rain would be accompanied by very strong winds that could reduce horizontal visibility to almost zero, as well as hail, flash floods and thunderbolts.

The alert covers the city of Jazan and a long list of governorates across the region, together with one administrative centre.

According to the center, the weather conditions are expected to continue, God willing, until 9 pm.
