The National Center for Meteorology has issued a red alert today for the governorates of Rahat and Madrakah in the Makkah region, warning of heavy rainfall over both areas.

According to the center, the rain will be accompanied by very strong winds that will reduce horizontal visibility to zero, as well as hail, flash floods and thunderstorms with lightning.

The center said these conditions are expected to last, God willing, until 8 pm this evening.
