Fog is one of Al-Baha Region's most recognizable summer sights, often covering its highlands, peaks and forests and showcasing the area's environmental diversity.
In the early morning and evening, banks of fog form over the Sarawat Mountains and drift through the valleys, settling over forests and nature parks.
It is a defining part of Al-Baha's summer climate, keeping temperatures down, especially at higher altitudes, and adding to the region's popularity in the hot months.
The effect is most striking in forests and mountain parks, where low cloud mingles with green vegetation and rugged rock to create scenes that draw visitors and nature lovers. Along with dense forests, highlands and a moderate climate, the fog remains one of Al-Baha's signature natural features.
