The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture branch in Aseer Region met yesterday to discuss how to revive abandoned and unused farms and return them to production, as part of efforts to make better use of farming resources, raise productivity and support sustainable agriculture.
Participants reviewed ways to locate unused farms and assess what they need, draw up practical rehabilitation plans, follow projects in the field, and anticipate challenges with suitable solutions.
They also discussed documenting successful experiences and good practices to strengthen the committee's work, and measuring the impact of rehabilitation through performance indicators and monthly reports on progress, remaining challenges and recommendations.
